A brief introduction to the policy

The start of a short series of videos where Richard Hawkes (Hawkes Architecture) and Daniel Gender-Sherry (Axiom Planning), discuss ‘National Planning Policy Framework Paragraph 84’ (recorded when the policy was still at Paragraph 80). The Para 84 policy allows for the construction of a new dwelling in the open countryside if it meets certain criteria. These criteria include the design of the dwelling being exceptional or innovative, the building being of high-quality architecture that is sensitive to the surrounding landscape, and the dwelling being sustainable and energy efficient.
