Renovation & Remodelling
From a dated post-war house to an inspirational, sustainable, energy efficient family home
Key Design Innovations:
Reimagining the Arrival Experience – The outdated double garage, which once dominated the front view, was removed to open up sightlines and create a more welcoming entrance.
A New Architectural Statement – A thoughtfully rebuilt garage now frames the house beautifully, providing privacy from neighbors while incorporating a striking new entrance hall.
Light, Warmth & Efficiency – The original aluminium windows were replaced with high-performance, insulated triple glazing, maximizing comfort and energy efficiency.
Sustainable & Timeless Materials – The home’s original timber cladding was replaced with external insulation and a rich, natural English chestnut finish, enhancing both warmth and durability.
A bold, sustainable, and design-led family home that blends contemporary style whilst retaining original mid-century character. This transformation proves that with vision and craftsmanship, a post-war house can become a modern architectural showpiece — a home built for the future.
